What a difference a year makes

This time 365 days ago I was sat in Coto Kitchen; a Vietnamese restuarant in York eating Pho (highly recommend but make sure you book) with 3 of my closest pals in the world, celebrating my 25th birthday. We spoke about our summer holidays, work drama, and our goals for the upcoming academic year. My goal was to make a change in my life, finally leave my job and go on an adventure.

You can guess where this is going…

Flash forward to today, and I am celebrating my 26th birthday in actual Vietnam, surrounded by a bunch of humans who were strangers 10 days ago, and another one of my best friends. I couldn’t ask for anything more “full circle” than that. And I’m still eating Pho!

Life works in mysterious ways… but it won’t make the changes for you. It took me a long time to decide that I had the stomach to take this leap, and now here I am.

Book that flight, quit that job, move on to pastures new. If you’re thinking it (and it’s safe and legal too), get on with it.
